General Superintendent for an Acoustical Wall and Ceiling Sub-Contractor. Position involves management of all field operations, scheduling of manpower (for approximately 20–30 people). This includes the hiring / firing process. Must have the knowledge of the fair labor practices and laws.

Our corporation has a strong emphasis on accurate record keeping and being well “Organized”.

The Superintendent will visit every project prior to it's start.  This will include reviewing the estimate, file folders, plans & specifications prior to the project visit. The responsibility is to review all field conditions with our client's field representative. This individual must have strong technical knowledge of code standards and construction techniques.

An understanding of interaction with material suppliers / vendors, from scheduling to stocking.

Experience to handle all aspects of the job process from start to finish for small to up scaled projects required. This includes the review of plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and the focus of a professional installation.  Being aware of the progress of each phase, monthly billing, and scope of work changes / extra’s / repairs & etc...

The candidate must possess excellent oral, written, organizational and math skills.  Computer scheduling software experience is desirable.

Requirements / Education:

Current Computer Skills in Windows 95 or 98 including MS Office 2000 with  Word and spreadsheet applications, data entry experience.

High level of analytical and logic skills.

Detail orientated.

bullet

Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines.

bullet

Excellent written and verbal skills including a good command of English.

bullet

Customer service experience.

bullet

Blueprint reading and construction experience a must.

bullet

College degree or some college a plus.

bullet

Ability to work on a team and seek help from others/give help to others.

bullet

Mature and caring attitude mixed with a strong work ethic.

Job Responsibilities

Forecasting manpower requirements.

bullet

Review  weekly payroll and verify time reports to insure accuracy. 

bullet

Helping customers and clients with customer service and technical problems.

bullet

Responsible to lead and manage the effective delivery of construction services to assigned projects.

bullet

Manage by planning and budgeting, organizing and staffing, controlling and problem solving, to achieve or exceed the goal set for the project and sustain success, growth and profitability.

bullet

Liaison between field, office management and general contractors.

bullet

Ensure project standards and specification are met.

bullet

Monitor job costs and budget comparisons.

bullet

Generate and track change order requests.

bullet

Assure the highest customer service is achieved continuously.
